I know rear facing straps are supposed to be at or below the shoulders.
How do you know when to move them when you have an infant or child who slumps down in the seat?
DD3 is 7 weeks old. She's long and thin - just over 9 lbs and around 23". If she's stretched out, she is clearly level with the 3rd slot. (The slot is 9", and her "seated" torso length is about 9".) Once I actually get her strapped all the way into the carseat, the straps are probably 1/4" above her shoulders. I need to move them back down, right? They're just so much lower than her shoulders now...
And semi-related... We still need the infant support pillow, but it has those leg pads that are in the way of the bottom leg straps when we move the pillow up to the correct height for her head. Here's a pic of the insert. It's the Safety 1st OnBoard 35 Air. Would you just fold them out of the way?

It is. There are 3 slots for the crotch buckle, and the inner most one fits perfectly. I think it's more her shifting to one side. She'll probably be tall enough for me to move it up in a week or two.
