I babysit two young children and sometimes I wonder if the mom is watching me from a nanny cam lol. She always seems to text when the baby wakes up from her nap and Im downstairs... before I even hear her crying or know shes awake.
The camera is on the crib but they dont always have the little tv that came with it, out.
Is there a way to connect a baby monitor to your phone or computer, think shes watching me? lol or am I over reacting? Theyre very nice people and she knows how close I am to the children. She has given and bought me so much baby stuff. I love this couple as much as I love their children! Anyway, I have nothing to hide, but I just think her timing is always really strange and it makes me wonder.
Re: Is she watching me on a nanny cam?
Our lil' diva: late like her Momma: 40 weeks 5 days!
See if you can grab the name/brand off the camera and you may want to try googling it.
We're actually purchasing a camera that will allow online streaming at all times (private access only). If I had a live-in nanny I would definitely have a camera as well...
yes they do exist.
This... I was a nanny for many years until we are expecting our own and I always let my parents know about. It helps them feel reassured and it never bothered me they could be watching because I did my job just like you. Don't worry at first it's awkward but I don't even notice it anymore.
You could ask indirectly by saying your interested in something like that for your LO when you have a babysitter. Sounds like your friendly enough that they wouldn't take it the wrong way.

This. I was a nanny for awhile and I would feel kind of violated if there were cameras all over the house. But I would totally understand one that is just on the baby sleeping so she could check up on her sleep routine.
I agree with this. I totally understand why a mother would do this, in fact I may do it myself, but I think I would notify the nanny that there are cameras in the home. It just seems like the ethical thing to do. JMHO
If you are doing what you are supposed to be doing then you shouldn't worry if she is watching you. Why are you worried about it?
LFAF Summer 2016 Awards:
They have video monitors that you can set up and watch from a different location. DH and I considered getting one to use at home and also so he can see the kiddos when he leaves on business trips. We never have anyone babysit at our house and the only people that ever babysit are my mother and father and we drop our daughter off at there homes.
So chances are that's what's going on. She's probably just taking a peek at her kiddos.
