i'm planning DD's 1st birthday party (i know it's early, but we are doing a korean ceremony and it takes a lot to plan). i'm wondering if i should have some kind of entertainment there? it's not really for the baby, since she'll be still too young to really enjoy it. but there will probably be some of my friends' kids there. it's not the typical traditional kid's party either, there will be a type of ceremony and then people will just mingle. should i still hire some kind of entertainment for the other kids and if so, what kind? face painter? clown? i'm so lost! lol thanks!
Re: question about child's 1st birthday party
Hi MomtobeNJ, sorry to hijack your thread, but are you planning a dol party for your daughter? I'm interested in doing a dol for my child, but I don't know a lot about it. I'm also in the northern NJ area, if you're around here is there a caterer you would recommend? Since our families are not Korean I want to do some Korean food, but have more mainstream kind of items. I'd appreciate any info you have.
About entertainment, I'd say it depends on your budget. If you can afford it sure why not, but if you're on a budget I wouldn't worry about it. Little kids can play with each other, and the adults will probably be happy to eat and enjoy each other's company (I've been to like 4 - 1 year old parties this year so far!)
