New Mommy in Early August

I will be a first time mommy in early August and I will be staying home from work to be a stay at home mom. I just moved to the Elmhurst area and don't know many people. I'd hate to stay inside all day when it gets nicer outside.

Any new moms out there that would love to schedule play dates when my little girl is born in August?  :-)

Re: New Mommy in Early August

  • My twins will be born in late august (hopefully. I want them to grow big)

I'm in Addison, and I'll be looking for mommy friends too. Most of my friends will make awesome aunts and uncles, but I'm the "leader" in life events in the group. My friends are just starting to get engaged.
I work 3rd shift do I will be home during the days and sleep when DH gets home from his first shift job

When weather gets nicer I go to my pool. I'm not a big indoor person when the weather is nice either.

Since you're new to the area: Addison is Northwest of Elmhurst. I live close to North Ave. and Addison Rd. :)

  • That's not too far from me. We'll have to get together once the weather gets nicer and we both have the babies. Good Luck w/ the twins! My husbands aunt had two sets that we used to babysit and HOLY CRAP was that a challenge sometimes. lol  I always give more credit to people who can raise twins. I might go nuts! lol

Hi there.  I'm in Elmhurst as well.  My baby will be 5 weeks tomorrow.  I don't know many moms in the area so I'd love to connect as well.  Also the Elmhurst Neighbors and Newcomers Club has some different clubs to meet people.  I'm in the book club right now, and sounds like they might add a new mom's club to their playgroups in the fall.
