outings with homemade baby food?

we are trying to get all of our homemade baby food supplies together & was wondering what you are supposed to do when you go out for the day? as a SAHM, we go out for the day (and not to places with fridges) at least once per week. when you do this, would it be better and easier to continue to homemade feed and bring a cooler bag, or just bring store bought? & if we do store bought when we go out, what brand is the most like homemade? the reason i'm not too fond of store bought for my family is the fillers, would organic be my best option then?

Since they should only be eating like a tablespoon a day, I would either feed before I leave or after I get back.

I either carried a cooler bag with homemade food or bought organic, all natural, no sugar added applesauce cups. They're much cheaper than baby food but just pureed apples.

i bought some little containers in the baby bowl section at walmart and ill thaw them and depending how long were going out for I may put it in the cooler bag. if its just out for dinner i just bring it as is in the container and feed her while we eat

With DS1, I just bought Earth's Best and kept them in the diaper bag. It was easier than cooler bags and whatnot. When he was old enough to not have to have a spoon (maybe 9mo?), I bought the squeezy packs.
