I remember reading somewhere that sucking is really uncomfortable for some babies when they're teething, so it makes sense he might prefer the bottle since he doesn't have to work so hard to get milk out of it.
I just noticed yesterday that DS has a tooth coming in, and last night he started to get fussy with eating too, pulling at his ears and squirming.
