Hi! I am new to all of this, well kind of. I am 38 and I am trying to get pregnant with my first baby. Me and my husband have been trying for the past 6 years. With that said I was diabetic and overweight, so to improve my health, I had GBS on May 12, 2010. I have successfully lost 105 pounds, diabetes gone and I feel the best I have ever felt!
I was cleared last March to start trying again and after 6 months we went back to our fertility specialist. I have been pretty much diagnosed with unexplained infertility.
We did 2 months on clomid with timed intercourse and then last month when I got my +opk test, I got a positive and went for BW & US, but there were no follicles. So they upped my clomid to 100 mg and this month we had our first IUI.
I was just couroius how you all felt after your first IUI. I am probably just a nervous nellie but I had the procedure done 2 days ago. I had 2 mature follicles measuring at 18 & 19. My lining was great and so was my LH level. DH's levels were amazing too, he had 91% mobility and after the wash his count was 21.9 million. So needless to say he was feeling like Superman. I feel crampy still and just not normal. Did any of you feel like that?

Re: 1st IUI on May 14th.
Yes. Its normal to feel not normal
You did not mention using a trigger? but there are still drugs in your system, the clomid lingers for awhile and there is alot going on, its not unusual to feel "off" If you did trigger that is also still in yuor system and can make you feel wonky.
Best of luck to you! Congrats on the weight loss!

My first IUI is this coming Saturday, so I'm no help there. I did trigger last month but I O'ed the morning before the trigger, so we didn't bother with the IUI, just went w/ timed intercourse. I did feel fairly crampy for about a day after my HSG, tho, so I'm expecting similar with the IUI.
Good luck!

I have never done IUI procedures, just IVF....but, I just wanted to wish you the best. I understand the struggles of 6 long years of IF...ugh. It is no fun, as you know.
Sounds like all went really well for your procedure, that is great. Fx'ed that you get your BFP. I know the 2ww is hard, maybe you can get away for the weekend or go somewhere to help take your mind off the waiting.....
Take care and keep us posted....
