am I the only one that can't wear a workout headband???

My hair is shorter and I totally need a workout headband to keep the back up and the front back. But they constantly ride up in the back and not only end up looking silly but its sooo uncomfortable!!!
So...tell me the best workout headband out there that doesn't shift or ride up.

  • I have never been able to use any kind of stretchy headband! The only thing that works is pinning it into my hair like crazy. But then I think gee, maybe I should have just, you know, pinned my hair back?

  • I really like sweaty bands.  That's what I use when I run.

  • I can ONLY wear Goody StayPut headbands.  They're hard to find right now, I don't know if they stopped making them or what...but I bought a few on ebay last time.

My hair is super straight and silky,  so without that rubber weave nothing stays in.  I'm a P.E. teacher and super active, and I need something I don't have to constantly re-adjust.  The thicker the better.

  • If you are a conehead like me no band or any money you spend on them will work. I've tried almost every one the pp's listed.  Some will work for a little while if my hair is down but if I pull it back at all, all bets are off.

  • I hate wearing my hair up or even back at all, I like to keep it down and natural (:

But I usually can't wear headbands either. I just love bobby pins!! They have these special stay-put ones that I found that work GREAT for my annoying little baby hairs, still from hormones and pregnancy and all that good stuff lol! (:

  • ugh i hear ya! i've tried every kind of strech one out there!  it sucks!  i've found that sometimes i can put a knot in the bottom and they work better.  OR i'll tease the *** out of my hair (flip head upside down, rub the sh*t outta the roots where the headband sits) and that helps...

these links are great girls i'm totally going to check them out!  LOL good to know i'm not the only one!

I can't either!  They pop off my head too. I end up wearing a good old cheap plastic headband that doesn't circle my head, or bobby pin my hair back.  I have chin length hair so can't just pull it up. When I run in winter I have found the nike fleece one I have is fine, but they're wider and don't really move either. Good luck.

  • I have been going through this for years and it drives me crazy!!!!!!  Never finding a headband that works for me, I decided that for working out and running I would wear a hat....one of those super thin running hates from Nike.

But, I also play soccer and can't wear a hat so I've tried just about every headband in the world!  I have chin length hair so the thinner bands still let my hair fling up on the sides and get in my face.  Plus, I think I have a pin head.

The Sweaty Bands seem to stay in place, but are too thin and my flings up.  I recently tried a Bondi Band....it's MUCH thicker and a great material, but it seems to big so when I put it on it's loose.   I recently found a thicker band at Target, I think Goody brand...seems to be the best so far.   But, I hate the way the thicker ones look, almost like a doo-rag and I'm from the 1950's ready to clean the house.
