Anatomy scan is the 20 week "big" ultrasound - also when you can choose to find out gender.
MaterniT21 is one of the brands of new non-invasive trisomy testing available. Other brands include Harmony and Verifi, but there are others as well. M21 I think is the most popular. It tests for Trisomy 13, 18 and 21 and can provide gender info anytime after week 10.
It's just a simple blood test. I just had my NT scan yesterday and they did the US then I had my blood drawn. I have to go a second time to have another blood draw during a certain time period. My insurance will pay for the Harmony test since I am 39 so the Doc ordered that one for me. I should have results in a week or 2. Relax....being over 35 isn't as bad as it is made out to be I promise
Thanks....to be honest I didn't really put much thought into my age when we started ttc, but now after reading through all the posts I was starting to panic a little! I don't like needles....its been hard enough to handle the betas
