Starting Fermera, silly question...

So I took a test yesterday at 13dpIUI, and it was BFN. I was pretty excited because all of my appointments went so well too, but then I started my PMS symptoms on Saturday and kinda knew it wasn't going to be positive.

Anyways, my doctor is prescribing Fermera this cycle as I havent been medicated my last 2 IUI's (besides trigger). So I have to make my u/s appointment on CD3 and start the Fermera that day as well. My question is about AF... Typically it comes full force, but today all i've had was slight brown discharge. Should I count today as CD1? When I say slight, I mean barely there, but there is something. The other reason this is important is because when I go in on CD3, they will look at my uterus to see if everything is coming out or if my cervix is to scarred over again. I don't want to jump the gun and not give my lining a chance to leave before they decide on another hysteroscopy & interuterine balloon/catheter... 

Also, I was on progesterone suppositories (haven't taken any since Monday night). I was also on progesterone suppositories last cycle too, but they didn't affect my AF starting (it still came full force with no pre brown discharge).

Sorry if this is a silly question...

    CD 1 is first day of using a tampon or pad, not just spotting. I spot a couple days before AF.

    Good luck with Femara. The only bad side effect I've had with it is some slight blues and headaches.

    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    My RE's office considers CD1 the first full day of needing a tampon or pad, so  before 5pm. As for the femara I hope you do better than I have. I got super sick on days 2&3 of it for both cycles (2 so far) and then I'm ok. I've read a lot of people take it later to kind of help. Good luck!
