Hi ladies!! I had my mid-cycle monitoring appt today! I have been so numb this whole cycle because of my first real BFN and then M-Day in the mix. I haven't really let myself get my hopes up. Well, I went in for my monitoring appt today not really sure what they would find. Since they upped my meds this cycle, because of slow response last cycle, I really didn't know what was going on in there. DH came with me which made me happy.
Any-who-- On my Right side I have a 17mm!! Last cycle my biggest was 13 and 14!. I have about 3 more smaller ones on the Right side ranging from 7.5-11. And on the Left side I have about 4 ranging 7-10mm as well. I was so overwhelmed by the response that I didn't write down the numbers!! ::face palm:: So, my RE is on vacation, and I guess he was in flight when the nurse tried to call him with the results so all that was left was to wait on a call to see the plan. I also told the nurse that if we were to do an IUI with this cycle, and if it would land on a day I am off work, then I would prefer to do an IUI instead of TI.
So, I just got a call from the nurse and my RE was very happy with the response. He didn't think we needed to cancel the cycle due to the number of follicles since they are small ( I was worried about that), and without the nurse having to tell him my work conflict, he said he wants me to Trigger Saturday night for an IUI on Monday!! Which is perfect because I am off work Monday! So, IUI#2 here I come! (I was going to put two exclamation marks, but I think that would sound too hopeful and I am trying not to be that)
ETA: I think I aught to name my follicle. It almost needs a name like Bertha...suggestions...and...GO!
If you got through this then you are AWESOME! Happy Hump Day ladies!!

Re: Today's Monitoring appt and change to IUI#2 (longer than expected!!)
I would fill the whole page with !!!'s if I let myself. I love them. Instead of favorite word, maybe next time you can do favorite symbol. That is mine = )

BFP #2: 10/12/12-m/c at 5 wks.
Me: MTHFR, Low AMH (1.1), High NK cells and Antiphospholipid Antibodies.
IVF with ICSI in August 2013 brought us our babies. ER-9R, 7M, 4F w/ICSI ET of 2-Grade 2 blasts.
Dx shortened cervix, PTL, and preeclampsia during pregnancy. Lots of medications and 13 weeks of bedrest, babies were born healthy at 34w4d!
How about Sofia the Super Follie? Or Francie the follice? But if you want to go with Big Bertha, more power to ya! Glad you had good response and they're doing the IUI on a day you have off.
Are you going in for another U/S on Friday if they are not having you trigger until Saturday night? A 17mm follie could grow 1-3mm a day so it could be anything from 22-32mm by Monday. Also while I agree the several of the smaller ones can't possibly catch up, but if you have one or two 11m follies - they could 16mm-26mm by Monday so there is a *small* chance you have more than one release. A good way to know would be another monitoring on Friday to make sure the biggest hasn't released on it's own and/or see what size the others are and what your e2 levels are to see how many of the bigger ones are mature.
IUI#4 1/23/13 on 75iu x9 Follistim = BFP then chem preg m/c (Feb 2013)

Haha, me too!!
Good luck, OP
Naming your follies sounds like something I would do too, lol. Bertha is a good name... or Franny... Frankie... Franco... I like alliteration as much as I like exclamation points, so I'm leaning towards anything with an F to go with Follie.

Yes, this is what my concern was. The only thing that does give me some peace of mind is the fact that last cycle my biggest were 9mm at my first u/s so he did the stair step method and gave me 3 days of Femara 7.5mg. I went back for my second u/s 5 days after the first and the two 9mm went to 13 and 14mm in 5 days. And that was with medicine. So yes, if they went at the same rate by Monday the 11mm could be 16mm...but I'm not taking any medicine this time. The other problem with possibly coming in for another u/s is the whole work thing. I work 7a-7p Fri, Sat, and Sun. The whole glitch with IUI was it coinciding with my work schedule. Thank you so much for this info so I can ponder it!
