Follow up appt today update

At my first appt, LO was measuring 11 days behind. I have my second OB appt today. There is no u/s scheduled so I'm guessing it is just a quick hb check. If you have any spare Tamp;P's, I would really appreciate it. I am going alone and although I won't know if LO has caught up, it would really ease most of my fears to hear a strong HB before my CVS next week.nbsp;

Update: they couldn't find the HB on the Doppler so they brought in the hand held u/s. She said she could see the HB but I couldn't see it. LO was such a blur that I couldn't make anything out.

I should be thrilled that I am still pregnant and that LO has a HB. However, I still don't feel as if everything is fine.

What is wrong with me?

Glad to hear there still is a hb. Did they get a measurement? I know you had concerns with measuring behind and I'm hoping lo is still plugging along.

No. I asked but she said the hand held does not have sound and can't take measurements. LO really didn't look much different than a blob and I know that by 10/12 weeks, there should be more definition to the head, arms, and legs.

I will know more at my cvs on Tues since they will do an u/s during the procedure.

I know what you mean by just knowing what you see isn't what should be up there.

Hoping it was just a bad angle or something. It's encouraging that there still is a hb, that's a good sign at 10+ weeks! I'm so glad that your CVS is coming up soon. You'll get some definitive answers from that for sure. Best wishes on Tuesday!

You're worried and that's completely understandable. I am so sorry that today's visit was not as reassuring as you'd hoped and that you find yourself in limbo till next week. I am sending you a ::big mobile hug:: and continued T&P that you get clearer direction and a peek at a growing LO at your cvs. Also if the handheld u/s was that poor quality, perhaps the resolution was crap as well such that the usual baby bits just could not be easily seen from your angle?
