Birth control??

I am trying to decide what kind if birth control to get on. I haven't been on BC in almost 3 yrs. I got off it because I hated the way the pill made me feel. I felt like I was very hormonal and got agitated easily. When I told my doctor this she suggested Nuvaring or LO loestrin. Has anyone used these or prefer one over the other?

    I love the nuvaring, as I didn't experience any side effects at all... Maybe because it's such a low dose of hormones? Also, we got pregnant within two months of.my going off it when we decided to start TTC, so I like that I can take it again and not worry about having to get it out of my system once we decide we're ready to start trying for number two. I haven't started taking it again, though, as I'm EBF and I read that It may affect my supply (although my doc did prescribe I for me without hesitation). I'll be right back on I when I wean!

    I am getting the paragard iud. It doesn't have any hormones and is good for 10 yrs bit can be removed anytime. I can't take hormone b.c. because it made me depressed and almost suicidal. I'm super excited to get my iud!

    The Nuvaring was great when I was on it.  Simple to use and easy to remember.  They even have an app for your phone that reminds you to remove it and then to replace it a week later.  Easy peasy.  This time, DH and I are thinking we are done having kids so I got the Mirena IUD until we are totally sure.  It's super simple, nothing to remember, it's just there doing its job.  The decision to get an IUD was mostly about convenience for me.  Plus, I shouldn't get my period while I'm on it which will be nice.

    You really have to try diff ones to see which ones work for you. I have had issues with a couple that I have tried. Nuvaring wasn't bad. I do remember some break through bleeding at first, but overall I was satisfied. My fav is still Yasmin because its keeps my skin clear and doesn't make me bloat or gain weight. The nurse at the Dr. said that a lot of Dr's are not giving it as an option with all the lawsuits going on, but they approved mine. Any BC can cause blood clots and obviously you are higher risk if you smoke, ect.

    I was on loestrin for a long time. I had issues with crazy hormones on other pills but not that one. It is hard to remember to take it everyday at the same time. At least for me it is. That's how LO happened...oops. It was a good oops but this time I think I'll go for one that I don't need to remember to take every day.
