It has been a while, since I have told a funny story.
A little back story first.
Allie's school is raising money for the playground. They are having a bucket contest. Each grade level is competing to raise the most money. The winning grade gets to throw water balloons at the entire staff on the last day of school. If all of the buckets raise over $400, the principal has agreed to allow the winning grade to soak her with a water hose.
Last week Allie gets in the car and ask for $400. She is so excited I cannot understand what she is wanting. I get her to calm down and explain to me what the money is for. I say no, but offer to give her $5.(don't judge, I have given my fare share this year) Later that afternoon she ask for my phone to make a call to my mom. She ask my mom for $400 and retells the story just as excited as the first time. My mom offered $50. Allie asked me how much more she needed to get to $400. I tell her $445. She ask if she can keep my phone to call more people. By the end of the night she called all 5 sets of grandparents, my brother and SIL, H's sister and BIL, 2 cousins, and a some friends. She got $295 of her $400 goal. I explained that she didn't need the $400 to watch Mrs. F to get wet. She looked at me and said "Wanna bet?" I think she took this as a challenge.
She has asked me on a daily basis to have a yard sale to get the $105. She has asked to take cookies door to door. She has found pennies on the ground and picked them up.
I am not a fan of letting my kid ask for money, but this is too funny. She is so excited to be doing this. She has even asked a stranger at the store. She got a dollar from them. lol
I warned her teacher to wear a bathing suit!
