Hi ladies-
I've been having some issues since Sunday night.
Migraine started around 8:30pm after I got off from work. Normally, I
would first try to kill it off with 2 tylonol, but knowing how it was
starting, decided to completely try and kill it with a tyl 3 (OB
prescribed). Woke up around 3:30, still lingering. Knowing I had to go
to work, I took 2 reg tyl and went back to bed. Went into work, around
8:30am started to feel onset again, took 2 more reg tyl. By 1pm I was
in so much pain from this migraine, I asked if I could go home. I
called my OB office, they thought about having me come in for a blood
pressure check but then told me to take 2 tyl 3 and take it easy the
rest of the night. Well, I woke up this morning feeling great and my
lawn needed to be mowed, so I took it upon myself to go ahead and mow
the lawn. Well, my lovely migraine decided to come back and now my face
is tingling on top of it. Besides those 2 things and a little bit of
cramping (which I have been having off and on for 2 weeks now) I feel
overall okay.
I was just curious if anyone else had migraines this
bad but especially when they were pregnant and how your OB may have
dealt with them.
I go in at 3:30 today for a biophysical and to see my OB, so I will defiantly get to talk to her about all of this.

Re: Migraine question
Yes, I normally get them about once a month to once every 2 months. They normally do not last days though and typically I can throw up and they will go away. For whatever reason during this pregnancy, they have been lasting days, the stronger meds dont' seem to work, and puking won't alleviate it either

I know with my migraines, they usually are triggered with hormones (i also stay away from scents and try to keep a steady diet and sleep schedule). I don't get any migraines while i'm pregnant since there isn't that fluctuation up and down of the hormones. I definitely got one the minute I got home from the hospital with DD. Must have been from hormones tanking after delivery. I also started getting them again after I stopped nursing.
Anyways, migraine symptoms sometimes change over time and age. My mom tells me her's used to be like mine where you would throw up and be in a dark room to sleep it off and it was gone. Now, she gets the aura that could last for days. A couple years ago, I got what seemed like stroke like symptoms at the onset. It saw aura in the front but peripheral vision was fine. (My clue to go home for the day from work!)
Sounds to me like your migraine may be caused by overuse of tylenol. I forget the word, but it's like backlash or repercussion headaches. It can happen if you use medicine too often for them and then you just end up getting the headache again and again.
Have you had caffeine? Perhaps a little of that will help. Good luck with it going away. Write all your symptoms down and what happened in the few days (including the medicine you took) and take that in with you to the OB so you don't forget the details.
