Trouble TTC

Newbie!

Hey guys I'm new on here. Was diagnosed with PCOS back in feb of 2012. DH and I stopped using any sort of protection last July 2012. In Feb of 2013 we decided to try for a baby! Yay! I was put on 1500mg of metformin and I've also lost a bit of weight since then, but I know I need to lose more. Anyways, I just get so bummed out when we come up negative. I know it can take a while. However how do you ladies keep a positive attitude??

I'm sorry you haven't had success and were diagnosed with PCOS.  Do know that you can get pregnant with PCOS without medical intervention.  As Naria said, at this point, you should chart to give yourself the best chance naturally.  Also, since you just recently started trying, you should check out the TTGP board, as this board is for women who have been trying over a year and have an infertility diagnosis.  I know it can be hard, especially when you have PCOS, but you need to try for a year unless you are so irregular that you can't even chart.  GL.

  • Wilson,

I was diagnosed with PCOS some time ago.  I'd love to hear more about your expereinces with metformin?  My RE suggested I give that a try, haven't had anyone to ask about it yet.
