  • I go to Northside Women's Specialists and they have offices in both.  Like most all of the doctors and midwives.

  • Northside/Northpoint OBGYN. Offices in both locations. :)

  • Northside has an alarmingly high cesarean rate; I highly recommend Isis OB/GYN in Alpharetta and Johns Creek. Dr. Frederick is the OB there and I see Kim and Beverly as my midwives; they are AMAZING. Also, they participate in water births at North Fulton Hospital, which is how I am going to deliver. I feel that they listen to me and back me up with my decisions for delivery.

    Best wishes :)

  • Dr. Angela Nix  - Roswell OBGYN. I started with Dr. Parker who I like, I saw Genene the midwife and liked her, I've seen Dr. Sugarman and liked her too, but Dr. Nix delivered my DD and ended up really liking her! It's a great practice. I delivered at Forsyth and I live in Woodstock, very worth the drive :)
  • I loved Dr. Tate.  His office is in Nocross, but I work in Dunwoody and it's not a bad drive from there.

Lurker here, but I also delivered with Isis in December. I was planning on a natural birth with the midwife Kim, but ended up with an emergency c-section. I have a great relationship with Kim and trusted her guidance, so when she said I needed a c-section, I knew it was a dire situation. She respected and encouraged my plan for natural birth. Dr. Frederick provided care after my c-section, and I really liked his demeanor. They spent a lot of time with me during my visits and were very patient with a FTM and all my questions. As for North Fulton, I delivered on Dec. 23 and was the only new delivery until Dec 26 (all the ladies were crossing their legs to spend Christmas at home!!!), so I got fantastic care! The food wasn't that great, but the nurses were WONDERFUL.

That is also what I appreciate about the staff at Isis. They are extremely patient and knowledgeable. I've never felt rushed or ill at ease. And the ONE time I ever had to deal with the office manager was awesome! She is sharp, professional, and on top of everything going on at the practice.
