Mobile: Tender breasts after 9 months of BFing?
We EBFed for the first 6 months and have been slowly adding more solids to DD's diet. I've definitely noticed that she is nursing less often now that she is having two solid meals a day, so I am wondering if perhaps my supply is regulating and that is the culprit for my tender breasts? They've been a little fuller then usual and she's not emptying them as well. Did anyone else experience this? I'm not noticing any signs of anything else (mastitis, etc.), but I definitely don't want to write this off if something else could be going on. My thanks in advance!
Secondarily, I don't know if I should be fretting that she's not nursing as often. I definitely do not want her to wean early, but even though I offer her the breast often, she just doesn't take it as much. We are not replacing milk feedings with solid feedings, just offering them in addition to.
Re: XP: Tender breasts after 9 months of BFing?
I haven't really had the tender breasts you're describing, but I have had engorgement issues as DD had slowed down on the nursing. I also stopped pumping after I quit my job, so that has added to it. There's definitely an adjustment period. Has the soreness been going on for a while or just a day or two?
At 10m, DD has 3 solid meals and nurses 5-6 times a day. To me it seems natural that since she's eating more solid foods she's dosen't want or need to nurse as often. I always offer water in her sippy cup during meals, but she doesn't drink very much. Nursing is still her main sorce of hydration.

AF came back just a few weeks ago, and she's due again next week, so maybe this. Today the pain is really localized in my right breast, though, and feels like a bruise. I hope I don't have another clogged duct
This is what I noticed when AF showed up. I EP and it was tough it hurt!
