DD LOVES to nurse. she nurses at least 5 times a day still I would say. My goal was til she was one now I really would like to stop at 2. she will be 2 July 16th. Its going to be so hard. I hate to cut her off. She still nurses in night sometimes too I am on the mini pill or whatever its called for when you still nurse so I think I might switch to a stronger pill to decrease my milk supply then she may not want to nurse..
I was shocked that I got my period this past week since still nursing and on pill but when I called and talked to nurse she said its fine and normal. I had lightly spotted once a month for the past 2 months during first week on pill pack now got period Tuesday during 2nd week of pill pack.
any advice on how to nicely slowly wean??

I recently night weaned, which improved my life a million times over! For night weaning, I just told DD she "could have milk in the morning when the sun comes up" if she woke up during the night. After three or four nights, she stopped waking up. Amazing.
Now we only nurse in the morning, down for nap, and at bedtime. She stopped asking during the day after I told her couple of times that we would nurse "later at sleepy time."
Since she only nurses three times a day, I'm willing to let her self-wean.
