Ticker/Pic Warning
When I picked up my DS today there was a letter in his cubby informing us that one of his teacherslost her baby. She was full term and apparently her son stopped growing (and the doctor didn't catch it even though she was high risk). He was stillborn about two weeks ago and she will be returning to work soon.
I would like to get her something, but I don't know what to get her since we don't know each other outside of daycare. My thought is to get something personalized (jewelry with his name/birthday), but I'm not sure if that would be overstepping the parent/teacher line. I read the blog posted and will probably get a book and a card, but would an Etsy gift card be appropriate to include so she can pick her own necklace?

My Blog
I have several pieces of memorial jewelry, one that one of our LOSS mamas from here bought me. I treasure them and would be devastated if something happened to them.
I think she would appreciate the gesture especially as many people will try to pretend that it didn't happen or they will offer hurried apologies and run away b/c it is so hard to know what to say.
There is also a link at the top of our board with suggestions on what to get and what to say, and our blog has stuff on it too. I am always a big supporter of the memorial jewelry though.
I am so sorry for her.
