I have so many but I will limit to two.

    Dear Attorney,

Work on my case. YOU are the hold-up and an amicable relationship is beginning to get ugly w/ H. I know I'm low priority compared to your trials and mediations, however, you said it yourself it's max 3 hrs of work. Surely, you could have found 3 hrs in the past 5 wks?!  I would fire you except I don't want to lose my retainer.

    Everyone else-

cooperate with me please. pretty please.

    -still irritated

  • Dear Hospital and Insurance Company -

I did not expect the several-hundred-dollar charge for a diagnostic mammogram.  I have tried to find out for 4 days now what the necessary biopsy will cost me - IS THAT SO DIFFICULT?  Why, as an adult with a stable FT job, am I having to call different hospitals far away from me to see if I can get a better price than the nebulous figure you're giving me?

Please, let's work this out.  If it's breast cancer I want to know NOW.

    Sincerely, RoxyLynn's boobs

  • Dear girl I have never met,

I am sorry to hear about your grandfather's condition going down hill and appreciate you letting me know you will not be able to attend the bachelorette party because of it. However, I am annoyed that you did not even offer to pay for the party bus ticket or your part of the hotel that I covered for you because "you couldn't wait to come party in Austin". I would have said, "no no girl, don't worry about it" but at least offer! I just had a kid and $100 buys alot of crap!

    -Seriously annoyed

Dear husband who sucks at gift giving,

I know you meant well by offering to buy me a weight loss program for my belated mother's day gift after listening to me whine about losing weight but wording is everything.. especially early in the morning. Thanks for at least offering it though.

    Dear DD,

You are so adorable.  It's such fun hearing your observations and seeing you develop your quirks.

DD (eating goldfish):  "Goldfish are the good kind of crunchy."

Me:  "What is the bad kind of crunchy?"

    DD:  "Rocks."

    Your loving and lucky mommy

    Dear Trial,

Argh.  I am not looking forward to you.  You suck.

Dear DH's Friend who is getting married in Maui,

You kind of suck too.  We are already spending a small fortune to travel to your wedding, and then you lay additional expenses on us.  I realize DH is your best man, but I still think these extra wedding costs suck.

  • Dear Buyers,

As the 70 year old house gets inspected tonight please keep a few things in mind, namely that you agreed not to nickel and dime us on inspection items in return for us agreeing to your price. Also we have fixed almost everything in our house that showed up on our inspection seven years ago and what's left is not a biggie hopefully.

    Signed,
    Anxious seller

    Dear Sellers,

I'm sorry you bought you house in 2005 and won't be able to make a profit on it. If you look at our offer with any kind of logic you will see how great it is. Please accept it b/c it's as far as we are willing to go. Trust me, you are not going to get what you are asking.

    Signed,
    Tired of negotiating

  • Dear Franchise Managers, be kind to the moms who work for you

So when I first saw Similac under lock and key at Wallgreens, my first thought was one of sadness. I was sad for the babies whose moms had to steal formula for them. Obviously a common occurrence since this was the only item locked up, aside from painkillers that are known to be used to make drugs.

I wondered why low-income comes didn?t breatfeed more. I mean it?s free, and better for everyone. But after thinking about it I realized that I shouldn?t be at all surprised that moms are driven to steal formula. In fact it seems like it?s the natural consequence of the system.

If you?re working in the service industry and you have a baby, how much maternity leave to you get? And it?s probably without pay too. Probably only two or three weeks. Not enough time to establish your breastmilk supply. And have you tried pumping breatmilk the first 3 to 4 weeks. It HURTS. And you get next to nothing. I couldn?t really pump milk until 5 or 6 weeks, and that was with a madela hospital grade system.

So you have a woman who probably doesn?t have a comfortable place to pump at work, probably hardly has any time to pump, probably doesn?t have insurance that covers the rental of a nice pump so has to use a hand pump?. The cards are stacked against her, even if she?s committed I can see her giving up quickly.

This just made me mad as I realized I have every luxury to be able pump at work, and just felt bad that the people who could benefit most from breastfeeding have so many hurdles to overcome as to make it almost impossible.

Do you know of I women who doesn?t have an office-type job and was able to breastfeed?

  • Dear women who share the pump room with me

The room's calendar is FULL. We all know that if we miss our schedule pump time we are hosed *literally*

So you need to stick to the time you have slotted. You can't stay over your time because someone is waiting outside to use that room, and you can't dart in at the end of the day because that's when we're all going down to pick up our BM from the fridge.

If you are going to use it at the end of day, put it on the rooms calendar so we can plan our time.

This may have worked when only 2 women were using it, but now there are 5 women going in 2-3 times a day so it's time to get organized.

  • Dear 31-Year Old Neighbor:

As previously discussed in numerous conversations, our duplex is not well constructed.  It is unfortunate that you are a troubled sleeper and that you sometimes wake up when a comb is dropped on our bathroom floor. However, it is not reasonable to expect or ask that we delay our morning routine for work until 11am so you can sleep in on weekdays.  It might be wise to start saving up so you can move out of your mom's house, as you indicated you were doing back in January.  ( I suggest you postpone further purchase of rims and stereo equipment to aid in this effort.)  Ultimately, your actions and decisions make your choices.  Simply be advised that in 6 months you may think fondly back on the days when you just had a comb-dropper on the other side of the wall.

    Sincerely,

    Your Neighbor
