Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Blowing raspberries

Are anyone else's babies blowing raspberries yet?  DD started this past weekend.  She is always a slobbery mess now but very happy :-)  She sure is getting lots of practice in with her B sounds!

Re: Blowing raspberries

  • Yes! She just started. She imitated my mother. It was pretty cool. My lo is 5 months and a week.

Mine started at 4 months or so, and it's been his favorite activity for the past couple weeks. I love it!

DD has been blowing raspberries for a few weeks now.nbsp; Lately, I feel like she blows raspberries when she's trying to communicate that she's not happy or "complaining."nbsp; Not sure if it's all in my head but that's what it seems like...

I think dd does it when she's complaining too. It's so cute though I can't take her seriously.

  • Yes. DD is 4 months and started doing this a week ago. So funny. She too is a drooly mess. :)
  • DD did it during happy times when she was around 3 months, then it became something she did when she was complaining, haha. Now it's just random. She was really into it for a few weeks, but then chilled out with it.

  • DD has been doing it non stop today! She figured out how to do it a month or so ago, and it had been a random thing, but she did it frequently Sat and Sun, and today she's been doing it almost non stop...she seems pretty proud of herself, lol

  • My LO started doing it imitating us. The funny part is, we would do it while she was crying to make her laugh or at least distract her, so now when she's upset she starts doing it while she's crying as a way to tell us to fix whatever's wrong (usually telling me to stop trying to clean her nose)
  • Yep she just started!  So cute.
