Trouble TTC

Trying to stay positive... (kids, pregnancy mentioned --not mine)

Hello all.  These last few days seem like it has been just one thing after another.  So first, a small vent....

1.  A co-worker of mine went to a dr and apparently he told her it was a miracle she was able to have her two kids.  So she has felt the need to repeatedly tell me about how lucky she is she had her kids and that she beat the odds....blah blah blah

2.  A friend from law school who has a daughter who JUST turned one just announced on FB that she is pregnant again.  Don't know why, but that one hit me kind of hard.

3.  AF has still to show up.  Still getting BFNs.  RE says that if AF doesn't come today they will bring me back in for testing because according to my biopsy results and the bw they did this cycle anything after today would mean I ovulated "out of phase".  Come on AF.

I don't know if it the combination of things or I am just being overly sensitive but I am getting kind of down.  So I am trying to focus on the positive things going on in my life right now....

1.  We may have tickets to see Jerry Seinfeld on Friday since a friend of ours bought tickets but can't go.

2.  The weather is beautiful outside.

3.  I get to go see my mom and sister over memorial day weekend whom I haven't seen in what feels like forever -- that is keeping me going!

Anyone else have vents? successes?  positive things going on in their life?

Just a vent right now. I'm feeling under the weather (runny nose, sore throat) and I think I have a fever coming on. My D&C and hysteroscopy is tomorrow. This is the WORST timing EVER

Ugh!  That is no fun!  Hope you feel better soon.  Will be thinking of you tomorrow.

I have a little bit of both going on!

    Hard Stuff:

    1. IF has been kiciking my a$$ lately and has taken me on an emotional roller coaster the past two weeks. I have gotten to a hopeless place where I don't know what I want anymore and this is SO not me. We have finally made the decision of heading in the decision of about 1 or 2 more injectable cycles and then ending our journey and moving on to adoption. This is a new and scary step for DH and I but we feel that it would be best for us both...I'll keep you all posted :)

    Positives:

    1. We got Pre-approved for a house loan and the house searching has been going well! I'm so excited to get into a new place and get a PUPPY!!

    2. I have officially accepted a job offer with a private company which looked specifically into insurance for me that covered some Infertility treatments and they are paying for my insurance!!! Amazing and super excited about this!

    3. I have my first counseling appointment with a woman who specializes in infertility. I am very excited to try this and hopefully it will help me have more peace with my journey.

Lots going on!! Hope your week is going well ladies!!

  • I definitely need to focus on the positive right now, so here's my list of positives:

New lens for my camera should arrive today. Should help distract me during 2WW.

    Wedding anniversary is tomorrow.

A dear friend gave me an "IF pick me up" gift that included a gift card for a pedicure. Looking forward to that!

My favorite frozen veggies are on sale. It's the little things....

    Thanks for the positive inspiration!

  • Thanks for doing this today!

    Vent:

I just added up the bills we have to pay once our checks go through this week and it's going to be close. We can pay everything, but we won't have a lot of "fun money" at the end.

     Positive things:

    1. It is beautiful outside! warm weather!

    2. I posted last week that I ran a mile out of the blue, well 4/5 days I have repeated that and it is getting easier. Not only that, but I retraced the route with my car and it is actually 1.2 miles...win!!

    3. I have my monitoring appt. tomorrow and I am pretty anxious to see what's going on in there

    4. I decided to take a mental health day today, so I was off yesterday, today, tomorrow and Thursday.

    5. My DH started his new position yesterday, which means that after 4 years we are finally both on day shift!!

    Keep positive ladies!!

  • It's only Tuesday and I'm already a jumble of emotions...

Vent:  I've been doing crazy extra hours to keep all my work projects going since we are so understaffed right now.  This morning I found out that my promotion position (which they were supposed to move me into back in January) is indefinitely held up by sequestration.  Lovely.  Meanwhile, other coworkers aren't doing jack s*** at work!  My supervisor tries to help spread out the work load a little bit, but it just never seems to make a difference.

Positive:  Scale shows -2lbs!  Going to see Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade on the big screen tomorrow night (yes - I am a huge dork).  5 year wedding anniversary is two weeks away and honestly, I couldn't be more in love with DH.  I feel so lucky.

NariaDreaming - I'll be thinking about you tomorrow.  Hope you feel better soon!

  • Vents:

    1) DH and bought our first home in November. Ever since then I get asked every week by somebody when we are going to start having kids!

    Positives:

    1) Going to Vegas in three weeks with DH for a work trip!

    2) Almost done with our fertility workup so at least we will have some answers soon!

Vent: Ontop of everything that has happened in the past month our septic system is trying to mess up. We aren't sure if its the tank or a clog in the lines. Fifteen feet away from the house digging a trench with shovels we still haven't found the tank or the clean out valve or anything remotely helpful.
The boudoir bachelorette party that was scheduled for this weekend was cancelled. *sigh* that money would have been helpful

Positives: Dh has lost 10 lbs in a month, 20 more to go til he gets where the dr. wants him. So proud of him for dealing with the diabetes and eating so well

I've gotten a ton of illustrations done in the past couple of days. They're just for fun but I still enjoy doing them.

I bought a hydrangea for the garden finally. It only took me three years.

I'm thinking of looking into becoming a pharmacy tech to supplement our family income, still not sure about it.

After getting through yet another canceled cycle, I'm feeling better.  You all and a couple IRL friends helped me through it, as well and snuggling with DH (which he is getting so much better at!  He hates snuggling!).  So thank you for your support!

I'm also happy to hear from my SIL that our nephew (he's 12) went to school yesterday for the first time in several weeks without crying and her having to pick him up in the middle of the day.  He's had a very hard time since my MIL passed away and it is so good to hear they are seeing some positive changes!

I leave in 1 week for a girl's weekend in WI with a couple of good friends from college - you have no idea how excited I am for this or how much I need it!  Yay!
