xmaryrickx - pug question

I have a fawn and black pugs too :) Do you find that your fawn pug is more mischievous? Ours is just 1 year and I am finding if I don't exercise her enough she gets into everything, and the black on is so darn lazy, we will just stop walking in the middle of the sidewalk, whereas the fawn one will run as fast as a jack rabbit! haha!

Re: xmaryrickx - pug question

  • Ours are just the opposite. My black one did not stop moving at top speed for three years. She was always runnnnnning every where. And getting into things. And destroying things. It didn't matter how much I exercised her. She would literally run top speed for hours and still not calm down. Then she turned three and was all, I should take a nap. Now she is fat and lazy, though she still gets a bit frisky on occasion. The tan one, is basically narcoleptic. She sleeps alllllll the time and just wants to be held and snuggled. I got her when she was six months and she has always been that way. Even as a puppy she was not wild. In fact if you were holding her and put your hand under her chin she would fall asleep almost immediately. I always say she is part cat! It's funny how different their personalities are. I always say the black one needs you to need her. She worries and gets upset if everyone isn't happy. She actively shows concern. Which is the opposite of the tan one, who just needs you. She needs to be held and snuggled all the time. It's quite comical

Aren't they the best dogs? I think I will always have pugs.

So funny, how different they are.  Mine are still pretty young, black one (Roxie) is 2 years old and the fawn is 1.  We got roxie when she was 3 months and she is my baby :) she will get all strung out if she thinks someone is hurting me.  Coco we rescued almost 6 months ago, and she is getting better, finally not peeing on my carpets anymore.

They are awesome dogs, so sweet.  My husband will tell people how dumb they are.. but when no one is around I hear him baby talking to them, and Coco will cuddle with him at night before I put her in the crate. lol
