Warning about babies & band-aids

Title: Warning about babies and band-aids

Yesterday Kate had her Hepatitis B vaccination at her 9 month check up, so she had a large band-aid on her thigh. She has had pajama pants or leggings on since, but just now I left her in her onesie after changing  her diaper and put her in the jumperoo while I cleaned up. I noticed her chewing on something, and she had ripped her band-aid off and had it completely soaked from chewing on it. It was a huge band-aid and she could have easily choked. I never thought of this when leaving it exposed, so just wanted to share for those of you who hadn't given it a thought like me.

Yup same here.  Yesterday he got his finger pricked and the nurse said we can take it off when we get to the car so he won't eat it.

Yeah, my DS cut his finger a couple months ago and my husband was trying to be helpful and put a bandaid on it.  Which DS promptly ate.  I was not amused when DH told me.  Fortunately there were no ill effects but still, not impressed.
  • our pedi has signs everywhere and tells us to take it off before we leave the office.
