Hey Crossing

I know you posted about your LO getting the cast off, but I don't think I remember hearing about how he adjusted to being able to use his full body again. Is he sitting up on his own? crawling? Did the cast seem to stunt his motor skills?

    Hey! He did REALLY well with getting it removed. A lot of the kids  were crying in the cast room because their bodies were stiff and sore, and they thought they would have complete range of motion right away, so I was very nervous. However, he got the cast removed, got cleaned up and then sat in my lap, bent at the waist for the first time in a month when I met JessiP for lunch. He was not fussy or anything! He has had it off for 2 weeks(?) now, and is sitting on his own, and trying to crawl. He is crawling backwards and can downward dog like a champ! The only time he tries to pull himself up on anything is in the bath. I think he may have been crawling by now if he'd never had the cast, but he is still well within normal range for those gross motor skills. :)
