Oh man! I have been craving that too! And I cover it with a nice thick layer of that green tabasco sauce. Baby loves spicy and tangy foods. I just get the burrito bowl and depending what kind of meat I feel that day, carnitas, barbacoa, steak or chicken mmmmm. Then I get the brown rice to keep my blood sugars down, and black beans mmmm now I may have to go get that for lunch today.

I love there burritos! Chicken or beef. Nomnom. I would make a trip over there if I were you. The closest one we have is 3 hours away. makes me sad.

YESSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My go to is either: (1) burrito bowl with brown rice, black beans, chicken, corn salsa, mozzarella and guacamole and then I eat it with the chips or (2) every thing I just mentioned above but in a burrito

I either get the burrito bowl over the lime rice or all of that on a salad. The tacos are really good too! It doesn't matter what form it comes in, all the ingredients mixed together are delicious!
I have always been a fan of Chipotle, but they recently opened a Freebirds in my town. OMG. I may never go back to the Pote. Freebirds has different sizes of burritos, including a small one that is just the right size (I usually couldn't finish a whole Pote burrito). Plus they have choices of tortillas, flour, whole wheat, spinach or cayenne. Then, they have WAY more choices of toppings, AND they have queso dip, which you can get on your burrito or on the side to dip chips in. SO GOOD.

I have never been impressed with freebirds, while their extra spicy salsa is good, everything else is just kind of ok. I went there and made the exact same bowl I would make at Chipotle and it wasn't nearly as good. They cater at my work all the time too so I might just be burnt out on them.

It may be the novelty of it still, for me. I do think their chicken is kind of dry, and I usually get barbacoa at Pote, and they don't have that at Freebirds. But I am in luuuuurve with the queso. I am a sucker for queso.

I have never heard of this place, but it sounds Uh-Maiz-Ing!
As for Chipotle, my "go to" is a vegetarian bowl with black beans and brown rice, fajita veggies, lettuce, corn & mild salsa, sour cream, cheese (although sometimes I do without it due to mild cheese aversion - yeah, I know...really?!?!), and guac. So, so yummy!
Unfortunately, the nearest Chipotle is about 45 min. away, so I don't go their often. I think I've had it twice since becoming pregnant.
Dear Chipotle,
I heard you recently started serving margaritas. Way to screw over a pregnant woman.
You suck,
A pregnant woman who constantly craves burritos and alcohol

That may be the difference, I only eat chicken. When they bring it in for lunch events at work, it is usually bean or chicken burritos.
I am a sucker for queso though. I'm glad I no longer work in a tex-mex restaurant. I gained 15 pounds in 3 months from all the queso!

We have Taco Cabana out here (I don't know how widespread that chain is) and they just started serving fresh squeezed lime margaritas. I know what my first meal will be after this baby is born!

They've served margaritas at all the locations I have been to for years now. I don't think it is too new of a thing.
After almost 3 years of IF and a crazy roadside delivery, we are loving life with our second beautiful daughter!

That tears it, I'm going down the block to El Mezcal, great local joint, for a Speedy Gonzales (one taco, one enchilada, side of rice) and a side of queso.

I like the hard tacos. I always get meat though and almost always feel I should have just gone veg. They are very generous with their portions. I just don't need that much meat. But if I do get meat, I prefer the carnitas.
I load mine with: corn, pico, medium salsa, sometimes I get peppers and onions, sour cream and lettuce.
Oh and their guacamole is pretty good. I recommend getting some chips and guac on the side.
Be warned: not a single thing there is healthy. Even their corn has fat. lol. I think it has to do with whatever they soak everything in. Every single item on the menu is pretty high in calorie content. Even if you get a burrito bowl. If you get meat of any kind, it goes up a lot.
