Ok, so I know I need to go by adjusted age with milestones, and even then they will do things on their own time but my PT is really stressing me out. I have a 26 weeker who is now 8 1/2 mo. old so 5 1/2 mo. adjusted and she is on my case about how he should be doing more. He doesn't roll back to front yet, but tries hard, and he can't sit steady in a bumbo or with a boppy yet because his trunk isn't quite strong enough. Should I actually be worried? I really like our PT and she comes every 3 weeks or so so that right there shows she's not too worried since she doesn't want to come more often, but she always seems worried. At the same time, I am constantly having to remind her of his adjusted age. I've been stressing about this and googling milestones like twice a day from different sources because she has me freaked out. Advice please ladies!
Re: Milestones
ditto. time for a new PT. Possibly more often too? Not because I think your child is "behind" but because anything less than once every 2 weeks is hard to make helpful. My mom (who is a pediatric PT) and our PT really feel that there is value in having the routine and consistency of PT once a week for most kids that qualify for services.

I agree with the others...I would ask for someone else that won't stress you out and to have them come more routinely. 3 weeks seems like a long stretch.
As for milestones, my DS is 15 months (13 adjusted) and he has been all over place for milestones...he has done some stuff on time for his actual age (he just took his first steps the day he turned 13 months adjusted, so not quite 15 months), but he did not sit up on his own until almost 10 months (8 adjusted) which was 'normal' for his adjusted but late for his actual. Preemies have their own agenda! I hope you find another PT that helps reassure you of that, while helping your son rather than stressing you out.
