PGS with ICSI?

We're going to give my eggs one round of IVF before switching to DE (I'm 40), and my RE does ICSI with almost every case. What are your opinions on doing ICSI with or without PGS. I'm obviously a lay person, but it seems that if they arbitrarily select a sperm to inject rather than the usual Darwinian process, it would be smart to test since the strength and quality of that particular sperm haven't been proven. Thanks for your input!

Re: PGS with ICSI?

  • I'm meeting with RE to discuss our plan with IVF tomorrow. I don't think I'll do more than one round since he's pretty sure I've got DOR. I assume they'll do ICSI but don't know for sure until we discuss it. I'm not familiar with PGS exactly but my clinic offers CCS. I know it'll be mostly out of pocket and expensive but I'm going to opt for it. Given my age, probable poor ovarian quality, & previous loss I want to make sure if there are viable embryos that they are chromosomally normal. I feel that any information you can get is useful so if it's an option I would go for it. Good luck!!
