Ok so everywhere that I read they say no cows milk until a year? But then I read that you can introduce yogurt? Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't yogurt cows milk? I mean I'm sure you can get another form but from what I read it's just yogurt? If I was to do yogurt it would be Greek. But if I can get some insight I would greatly appreciate it. I'm confused!

Thank you so much! I love that website! I was just so confused! I will talk to my pediatrician on when she thinks it's ok.

This time I'm not leaving without you.
I agree with pp's. No milk replacing formula/bm until after 1 year. Cheese and yogurt are ok. We give LO YoBaby simply plain yogurt with fruit puree mixed in.
All of this. Greek yogurt is just regular yogurt strained, so you can add some water back in to thin it. We started with plain Greek yogurt at around 10m, I think, and added in a small amount of pureed fruit. He wouldn't take it plain as it was too tart. Plus, the fruit thinned it a bit.
ETA: Also, most formula is milk-based. Like another poster said, I think the issue is that they don't want you to replace BM/formula with cow's milk yet. The vitamins and minerals are not the same (neither is the sugar to protein balance), and too much milk early on can upset the baby's digestive tract.

Great question!! I had asked my ped about introducing yogurt at DS's 6mo well visit and she said to wait until a year.. I wonder why??? I never asked our other Ped when we went for his 9mo check...
Needless to say, he's had bites of my yoplait greek with fruit in it and he's handled it just fine.. I've not yet given him a "substantial" amount.. but, maybe I will try it now that I see so many others have done it! Would be nice to switch up his breakfast some -- poor kid eats oatmeal and fruit every morning!!
