baby boy diapers

my son is 13 and a half pounds, wearing size 1 pampers. He's pretty much ready to switch sizes though. At night he wears size 2 huggies snug n dry. The last couple of nights he has wet through. Somehow his back gets wet? I don't think you can get size 2 overnights. Anyone have recommendations as to what's good for boys? His wetness all goes to the front so he doesn't end up using the whole diaper.

Our DS is probably a similar weight, he wears pampers swaddlers size 2 and he very rarely has a leak.

I've heard that this is a problem with Huggies until you get to much larger sizes. Can't confirm that myself, yet.

Probably time to up a size. DD2 is 14 pounds and been in size 2 since 12 pounds. Girls are similar, the back of both of my girls diapers are always full but the front is never used, not until they started sleeping on their belly all the time.

I have always used Huggies personally. Pampers seems to leak a lot more from my 2 years of diapering.

Huggies always leaked for DS1. Pampers were always fine. We just stuck with Pampers from the jump with DS2.

Whenever our diapers started leaking----we moved on up to the next size and had no other problems!

Ours our 14 lbs and wear Huggies Little Snuggles size 2 during the day and we love them. We did have to switch our night diaper because of leaking and found that the Pampers Baby Dry's work great.

I'd go up a size. DS2 leaked a few nights in a row, and as soon as I bought the next size up it stopped. He's in 3's now but I think it happened when he was in size 1.

Funny, we are opposite. We use the snugglers at night because if we use baby dry, DS blows them out with his morning poop. For some reason, the snugglers seem to fit him better around the thigh than the baby dry.

We've used pampers swaddlers since DS was born. They sent us home from the hospital with huggies and he leaked through every time so we switched right away. When he hit 12 lbs we got him size 2 pampers swaddlers and he's never had a problem.

DD is 14 lbs and has been in size 2 for quite a while (I think since around 10 lbs). DS always moved up sizes early too. Huggies always leaked for us once we passed newborn so we use Pampers. I find Huggies to be a smaller than Pampers so I would recommend doing size 2 Pampers at night. To me the overnights were a joke and it seemed more cost effective to just get the next size up. Maybe making sure they're really tight would help with the back leaking. Good luck!

We use the Pampers Swaddlers diapers and have never had a pee leak. My LO is the same weight as yours and he has been in size 2 Pampers for a couple of weeks.

Besides the sizing up suggestions, make sure you're pointing his penis down when you put on a diaper. Before we started doing this, DS would leak onto his back without even getting the rest of his diaper wet.

And for nighttime, we like Pampers Baby Dry. He has never leaked! We use Pampers Swaddlers Sensitive during the day.

Does he roll onto his side when he's sleeping? My DS only leaks out if he rolls onto his side at night and thats with almost all the diapers we have tried. We currently use Target's brand and they are fabulous!
