You know you've watched Cars too many times when...

Mobile users: You know you've watched Cars too  many times when...

We're watching Cars...again. If you've seen it, you know that they siphon off some of McQueen's gas so he can't leave town before he fixes the road.

It occurred to me that if cars were really sentient beings like they are in the movie, siphoning another car's gas would be really invasive...you know, like someone inserting a catheter while you're passed out.

I think we're going to put this one away for awhile...

So what movie have you seen too many times, and what made you realize it?

  • Please...

My Huhwith Cars is when Sally pumps fuel into McQueen.  I'm like, McQueen is a race car.  His fuel (likely, 110 octane and standard cars use 86ish octane) is NOT something you can get from your standard pump...  don't these people at Disney and Pixar know ANYTHING about NASCAR?

I've seen this movie more times than I'd care to admit.  And, the kids are NOT always present when I'm watching it.

Ha! I didn't even think about the fuel issue. I don't watch NASCAR, though.

There's also a plot hole in Cars 2 that bugs me, but I haven't watched it recently enough to remember what it is.

My Disney confession: I have DVRed and watched most of the Tinkerbell movies. I always thought they'd be dumb, but I actually like them...and I watch them by myself. I think the only one I haven't seen is the Great Fairy Rescue - I need to watch and delete it off the DVR before DH gets back this week so he won't make fun of me.

This is totally a non-issue...  It's just something I noticed (yes, we are NASCAR fans -- not redneck style, but we watch at home).  I really do like the movie.  I think it's really funny.  I love the names of the characters.

I have seen the one where they cross over into winter and then the border starts to encroach on their season and everyone has to work together to save the other seasons.  I liked that one.

  • We watch "Tin Bell" daily. I usually watch it when DD wakes up super earlyand I still want to sleep. We watch it on Netflix in my room. You know you watched it too often when you dream that you and Baubbles and Clank are riding on Cheese carrying some "lost things" to Tink.
Our other one is Sofia the Frist. There are 6 episodes and one movie. I can quote them and my big question with that show is "Are James and Amber twins? And if not who is older?" Also how cool would it be to have a talking rabbit?

Oh - That's The Secret of the Wings. It's a cute one. I'm kind of bummed that I deleted it off the DVR.

Grrr, now I want to watch it, but DH teased me so much that I deleted it from the DVR. Because clearly my Cars obsessed son wasn't the one watching it.

Also, Gnomeo and Juliet is super cute and DS will watch it with me thanks to the lawnmower racing scene. Ugh, boys.

  • I downloaded the soundtrack for iTunes. Good stuff.

I haven't seen Tangled or Cars ever.

I have seen The Chipmunk Adventure approximately 4 billion times.  I can recite the entire thing for the most part.  Down to facial expressions and hand gestures.  I would like to blame this on Joey but I tried to get him to watch it once and he had no interest.  I just have issues myself. apparently.

Also The Goonies and Empire Records.  Too many times.

    OOoooo, Rexy...  You're so sexy!!

    Favorite move of.all.time.

  • <--- Has never watched Cars

Or most Disney Movies really. In fact, I can tell you the ones I've seen: Madagascar (1 and 2), the Emperor's New Groove (was that even Disney?) and that's about it. ::hangs head in shame::

ETA: Blink just reminded me I've also seen Nemo and Despicable Me
