Too much fruit?

Is it possible to give too much fruit? Lol!  I feel like that's all the kid eats, although I know that's not true.

what do you give your LOs for snacks instead of fruit?

Re: Too much fruit?

  • I feel like this too.  She refuses to eat veggies to where I'm back to baby food to get her veggies in.  I'm wondering what everyone else has to say as well!

  • My LO LOVES fruit!!  Bananas and pears especially but we eat a lot of prunes and apples, too.  Have you tried mixing chicken in w/ the fruit?  You can find lots of recipes online.  I like www.wholesomebabyfood.com   They have lots of great ideas.  For snacks my daugther also LOVES cheese!!  and cheerios...and yogurt bites.

  • Dd eats everything, but since she keeps teetering on the edge of constipation I have been giving her more berries.  Steamed broccoli is definitely a favorite of hers as well as black beans.  Just offer a variety of foods and they will feed themselves what they need.  Best to think of baby/toddler nutrition in terms of a week at a time rather than daily.

Try giving a fruit/veggie combo. That worked for us.
