Best Milk Bags? Lasinoh's keep leaking

Everytime I put one of my lasinhoh bags of frozen breastmilk out to thaw, half of it or more ends up leaking out of the bag! SO annoying... Does anyone have a brand that works better?

I always used Medela with DS and loved them. But I tried out Target brand ones when I realized they are WAY cheaper and they work just as well, so I say go with the Target ones.

I had the same problem with Lansinoh, and just tried the Tommy Tippee ones - they seem ok, good good reviews on Amazon, but I haven't yet tried thawing the milk yet.  Medelas worked ok for us, but since they don't have the double ziplock, we had some leaking from those too.

    Good luck!

Instead of bags why not use ice cube trays? Each cube is 1 oz and its much easier and less expensive. I liked it because if Im at the store but on my way home DJ can give an ounce or two without wasting a whole bottle. Plus when they start weaning you will be wasting a lot in the bag.
  • I've heard good things about honeysuckle.
  • I had this same problem with those bags target ones are a lot better, thick so they don't leak and they still double zip.

  • I like parents choice from Walmart. They have a double zip and so far, no issues.

  • Are you putting the non frozen ones on top of the frozen ones? I had the same problem until I stopped doing this. They would stick together. Now I freeze on one side of the shelf and stack on the other. Works great!

  • I use Medela.  Have only had one bag spring a leak and am starting to use of my freezer stash in the mornings now so I can cycle the milk out as some is getting to be 4-5 months old.  These seem to work great and you are able to do all sorts of amounts - I've made sure to do some 1oz, 2oz and 4's and of course 5's.  DS is eating about 6 every bottle now, but if he sleeps through the night will sometime take 7-8 in the morning.  The different sizes come in handy.
