Hi Ladies
I have mostly been a lurker here and have found all your advice very helpful. I am 37w4d pregnant with my first and just found out that she is breech (why my midwives JUST discovered this is another issue). I am really scared and disappointed as my husband and I have been preparing for months to have a natural birth. I am terrified of having a csection even thought I know they are routine these days.
I wish we would have known this sooner so there would me more of a chance to turn her. I am trying to do everything I can and I am trying to hold out hope that she will turn. I went to a chiropractor yesterday and I have been doing the spinning babies exercises (mainly inversion and breech tilt). I plan on trying moxibustion if the version doesn't work.
My main question is about the version. Anybody have experience with this? Advice? Anything I can do to make my chances of her turning better?
I just wanted to give my baby girl the most gentle and healthy entrance into this world and my heart is kind of breaking right now.
Re: Version scheduled for tomorrow
No personal experience here but I just wanted to tell you to stay positive. A couple in our Bradley class had a baby who was in the breech position. The mom was pretty worried and was going to schedule a version. At @ 37-38 weeks she had some terrible cramping and pains. She thought she was going into labor (this was LO #2 for them). She took a shower, drank a glass of wine and went to bed. She was fine in the morning and went to the MW a couple days later. It turns out LO had turned which explained all of the cramping/pain she had felt.
It sounds like you are doing what you can to help LO turn. Stay positive and I hope the version works. GL!
