Armpit pain while pumping

Hello, i am a new mommy, my daughter is 10 weeks old :-) I only pump my breast milk. I pump every 2-4 hours and every time that I do, I get this sharp pain in my armpit. I have tried looking it up online and am not too sure what's going on. any suggestions, ideas, or recommendation's??

    I had this type of pain as well when I nursed my DD.  It came on out of the blue around 8 weeks and then suddenly stopped one day a few weeks later.  My doc and DD's pedi both said it had to do with milk duct placement.  Hopefully it goes away soon.  I remember how painful it was!

    I'm sorry you're feeling pain, and though I don't have any advice, I wanted to share that for several weeks, I'd get a tickling sensation in my armpit when I nursed/pumped.  It was so strange, and a very intense sensation.

    My mother-in-law said she experienced this when she pumped, years ago, and the doctor told her that it is the glands expanding & hitting a nerve!
