Just found out today...

Baby is now in head down position (though I'm not dilated or anything, which is fine since I'm only 35 weeks). How many of you have been told baby is head down by this point? I was doing the spinningbabies.com exercises, but I guess I can stop now. Very excited! Just hope she stays in this position.

Re: Just found out today...

  • My babe is head down and has been for weeks. Doctor said the odds of him flipping back are slim now.

  • I think she may have been head down for a while now because whenever she'd get hiccups (for the last few weeks) I felt them low. But this was the first time my doctor checked my cervix to find out.

  • Haven't had my 35 week appointment yet, so waiting to see. I've been on the exercise ball, but I've never heard of spinning babies, gonna check it out. Thanks for the idea, and congrats!

  • I'm 37 weeks today and baby's head down!  She's been head down since the late part of the second trimester at every OB appt so I'm pretty hopeful that she'll stay that way and I'll be able to have her naturally!

my baby's head is still wedged in my ribs and I have only ever felt hiccups very very low.

Interesting. Well, ignore the speculative ponderings of an FTM who doesn't know too much about baby positioning. :P

  • At my 30 week u/s showed baby A head down, baby b head up. At u/s today, 34 weeks , both babies are head down. I am Hoping at this point they don't have enough room to flip back!
  • My LO has been in position for over a month now and has dropped. Once they turn this far into pregnancy they most likely will remain that way due to the shape of the uterus. It's more comfortable for them as space becomes limited.

  • My LO has been head down since at least 32 weeks (this was the first time my OB said anything about it because I asked).

  • He's been head down for at least 2 weeks (since I was 35) because that was the first time the Dr checked. I've thought he was head down for at least 4-6 weeks because I'm carrying super low and I can feel him hitting my pubic bone/cervix.

  • My 35 week appointment baby was head down but facing forward. At my 36 week appointment yesterday he said baby has turned and is now in position and has dropped. Now I know why I finally have my appetite.

We found out at 31 weeks that he was head down. I had been stroking what I thought was his head, but it turned out to be his butt. We had another u/s at 33 weeks that said the same (I'm at 34+3 today). I really hope he stays that way! He doesn't seem to have much room to move these days the way he did before, so my fingers are crossed.
  • My baby turned at 31 weeks and now im 36 weeks and baby is still head down!! The pressure is starting to kick in big time! I hope it stays that way for the next four weeks!!
