How was Mother's Day?! What did you do to celebrate?
DH went our for coffees in the am and we gave baby a bath got all dressed up to go to the Farmers market and lunch on the water. Very low key and just the perfect day with our new little family. DH also got me a little necklace with a G and Grace's birthstone. So sweet!
Re: How was Mothers Day?!
Mine turned out pretty good! I was upset w/DH several days ago when I found out he wasn't planning to do anything special, and DH got upset too as he felt bad that he didn't plan anything. So he got his act together and really showed his appreciation for me.
He made pancakes for breakfast (an occasional treat that he does from time to time), and made dinner too (very rare). He's awful at presents so I told him I'd like to have our garden hose fixed. He went to home depot and bought a new hose, as well as wall brackets and installed them. I can't wait to try it out! He also got me a card and wrote a very sweet message inside.
Originally we were also going to get sashimi take-out on Saturday. Unfortunately the timing didn't work out. Also, baby M spiked a temp yesterday but he otherwise was his usual self so we just too it easy.

Our IVF miracle, Baby Boy M, arrived on 11/8/2012!
I had a great Mother's Day weekend! On Saturday, we drove 2 hours to my parents and surprised my Mom. She didn't think she'd be seeing any of us for Mother's Day. My brother and sister showed up, too, and we all brought stuff to make a big dinner.
Sunday, DH took care of DS and let me sleep in, which was all I wanted! He also bought me a spa package. When DS went down for his nap, DH cooked us a big breakfast. Then we went to feed the ducks at a nearby orchard and went shopping for flowers. After that, we met up with the ILs for an early dinner. My SIL picked the wrong restaurant for a 9 month old so I ended up pacing outside with DS most of the time though. But, overall, it was a good weekend!

They brought me breakfast in bed and then we went to Mass together. We usually do a picnic, but since it looked like rain in the city I suggested we go up to Mt. St. Helens, the anniversary is this week and DS1 is into volcanoes dinos and such.
There wasn't a covered picnic area up there, and it was rainy so we had our picnic in the back of the car. It was so much fun!
Happy Mother's Day, ladies!
ETA: For my mom I made reservations for tea at the FLW Gordon House for my g-ma, mom, aunt, and sister. I used to volunteer there, but haven't been back since I had DS1. It was a beautiful sunny day on Saturday so we all enjoyed the drive through the country side to get there.
The day was great except that I got a call from my boss at 8:45 am needing me to drive all the way up to work (an hour round trip) because he was locked out of the building. I got 90 percent of the way there and he walked around to the other side of the building and found out the door on the other side was open. WTF? 3rd holiday since LO was born I've had to do something for work--also had to work on Thanksgiving and Easter. I'm starting to seriously re-evaluate my work situation.
On a more positive note, DH got me an A-MAZ-ING Mother's Day gift.
