Hello all! My name is Stephanie and my hubs and I have been TTC since 10/2010. I'm 26 and work in a clinical genetics laboratory. DH is 28. When I found out my friend was expecting last month it kind of put me over the edge and we decided to find an RE and begin our fertility workup. It has been a really tough month, it was much easier ignoring the problem than dealing with it.
Husbands first SA come back abnormal. His volume was low (1ml) and his morphology was 3% on the strict scale. I've got him taking quite a few supplements in hopes that it will improve. Everything has come back good on me so far except for today...
Ugh my HSG was horrendous. Normally my RE group does it in office, but since I have minor allergic reactions to shellfish I was sent to a hospital to get it done. They kept calling my husband my "friend" and they got me on the table and then unexpectedly decided I needed a blood pregnancy test since I was on CD12. The radiologist doctor who did the procedure was very rude to the tech and was yelling at her during the procedure, making it extremely awkward.
After it was said and done the radiologist said my right tube drained quickly but he wasn't sure about the left tube. What do you mean you're not sure?! He said he didn't know if the dye near my left ovary was from the right one leaking and he'd have to look at the pictures again. I'll be interested to see the report when I follow up with my RE.
Anyways, looking forward to getting to know you ladies ![]()

Ugh doctors. You'll find a few threads on here where people share the ridiculous/stupid things that doctors and techs say and do, they're wildly entertaining and it sounds like your clinic might end up providing some great fodder for our amusement
In all seriousness: welcome, good luck, and hope you don't have to be here too long!
