Success after IF

Teething!? Already!?

So I've had my mom and my MIL double check and they both agree that Hannah is teething.

Here's the weird part, it's her two eye teeth that are making a bump. That's not normal I think. Anybody else have this?

For mobile she's 3.5 months old.

We thought E started teething, but then it took a couple more months before any teeth actually showed up.  It's not "normal" for the eye teeth to come in first, but it certainly does happen and isn't anything to worry about I don't think.  I have heard that the eye teeth take much longer to actually descend and cut through, so she may be working on those for a while.  Or they may pop right through and she'll look like a little vampire baby.  Haha.  Hopefully that won't cause any trouble with BFing.  I was pretty uncomfortable for about a week when E got her first teeth, but they don't really bother me anymore.

We had one cut through this weekend! We've been suspecting it for about a month with all the drooling and putting things in his mouth.  Last week DS was especially crabby and then Saturday I noticed some whiteness so I put my finger in there and sure enough it was sharp.  I don't know what order they are supposed to come in at but this is one of the lower middle ones.  He seems much happier now that it has actually come through.  I think it is all the stuff that happens in the weeks leading up to it that cause the most pain.  We used little teethers gel and  cold teething rings and they seemed to provide some relief.  Also DS loves loves loves to chew on his burp cloths so that has kept him happy.

Eeek! I can't believe our babies are getting so big already!

Hm, seems a bit early to me but what do I know?!  My daughter got her first tooth at 6 months and my son at 9 months so every baby is defiantly different!  As far as the eye teeth go, my daughter didn't get those until she was like 15 or 16 months old!  I remember she looked so silly because she had molars for like 3 or 4 months before she got those teeth :)

  • One mom in my mommy and me group said her daughter was teething at 3.5 months, too. She did pop her bottom 2 teeth at 4 months. So crazy early.

Then her next 2 teeth were her canines. She really did look like a vampire baby. But I don't think she popped those too till close to 12 months.
