C-sections

Intro and question

Hello ladies this is my 3rd pregnancy and will be my 3rd and final csection. We will be scheduling this one for some time early November and will also be doing tubal ligation. I have an 8yo DD and a 6yo DD and we are team green with LO due to it being our last. My incision scar and the area around it has been numb since having my previous csection and now the area of numbness is getting bigger. Should I be concerned with this or is this normal? I don't have anyone around me that has had a csection before so you ladies input would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Intro and question

  • I've had two previous sections as well and my numb area is much larger with the second one than it was the first time around, although I don't think it's getting bigger? Have you asked your OB?

  • I would ask your doctor.  I don't really have a numb area around my scar...  I had mine 6 years ago...

  • I've got numbness around mine, and the area that is numb has grown slightly, but I asked my doc and he said it's normal from nerve damage. I would definitely ask your OB just to give you some peace of mind, but since the surgery is so major, each time you've had one I'm sure has damaged more and more nerves.
