Oh no, sorry for the rough night!
We haven't had a mobile since Alex was about 7 months old, I think. I turn on his glowing seahorse and the white noise maker and that's what he falls asleep with.
I think I wouldn't buy the new old mobile. Change is hard for toddlers, but they can do it. I'm sure he'll be fine after a night or two! Have you checked Craigslist and ebay to see if you could get it for cheaper?
If it were me? I'd buy the original mobile. If I know he likes it and it gets him to sleep, I'm a complete pushover.
I would probably give it another couple days with the new mobile though. Maybe he'll come around.
What is the original mobile called? It sounds awesome!
I wholeheartedly agree!!! Even if it's more, it's entirely worth it!!! You could always check some thrift stores, ebay!, etc. to see if you have any luck. If you know it works like a charm, what's the value of your time and stress - pay the premium if you have to!
Is C doing any better with the new mobile?
That sucks about not being able to get his old one in Cananda...I hate it when they only have stuff in the States and in order to get in anywhere else its 4x's the original price!
