Hello all! Been lurking for a bit and figured I'd pop in for some opinions. These are my current (though the list is ever-changing it seems) picks for names, in no particular order. DD1's name is Brenna. Any opinions? Suggestions for similar names? Feedback is appreciated.
Kyra
Raya
Astrid
Seren
Pax
Arden
Bryn
Teagan
Re: Girl names...early stages
Raya, Arden and Astrid are good. The others are NMS. Also I think Brenna and Bryn are too close for siblings. Other possibilities:

Elodie
Farrah
Georgia
Hadley
Hattie
Juliet
Keira

Hadn't thought about seren vs. sarin.. good point. I was more concerned with the poor child constantly being called Serena instead of Seren. My poor Brenna is constantly being called Brenda or Briana.
Astrid is one of our favorites, too. Kyra I like, but it is missing something, I think. Not my favorite but one that husband and I can compromise on.
Good point! They are pretty close.
Of your list, Brynn is my favorite (see siggy) but it's way too close to Brenna. My second fav is Seren.
ETA: And I don't think many people would associate the name with sarin gas.
Carter Robert 7.18.08 | Brynn Sophia 5.24.10 | Reid Joseph 9.10.12 | Emerson Mae 1.27.14

Arden is my choice from your list.
I also agree with a PP in saying Pax is not a girls name.
LOVE Astrid, and I really like Teagan. Pax feels masculine to me.

I really dislike the name Eli. To each his own.
Kee-rah. Kyra is an alternate spelling. I'm not set on spelling it either way at this point, though.
Opinions need not be delivered in as rude a manner as possible.
2. Arden
Would be my top two. I agree with pps that Bryn is too close to Brenna. I automatically associate Pax with a boy. Most of your list is nms.
Love Arden and Astrid! Kyra and Bryn are just OK for me.

Edit-- I responded before reading the entire thread. OP, if you ask for an opinion, you will get opinions of all kinds.

Ok as someone who watches the Office, Astrid will always be ruined. (Not nice nickname... "Arse turd") sorry it's now what I think of.
P.S. Eli is a wicked awesome name.
One of my favorite episodes! There is definitely the chance for an unkind nickname with Astrid, which is part of what is keeping us from settling on it.
Kyra -It's okay. I prefer Kira.
Raya - dislike
Astrid - A nice name if you can deal with the teasing. I think of The Office and "@ss turd."
Seren - dislike. It seems incomplete. Why not Serena?
Pax - NO. Sounds like a virus. Strong dislike.
Arden - I kind of like it. Sure.
Bryn - I prefer it spelled Brynn. But I wouldn't use this, give your DD's name. Too similar.
Teagan - NMS
Brenna & Bryn are too close for siblings for me.
Arden or maybe Teagan.
It doesn't matter how opinions are delivered, it is not okay to spitefully comment on children that are already born and named.
And she wasn't even rude! You're the one who ends up looking like a rude asshat with no idea of boundaries.
I like Astrid, but I also think of that episode of The Office.
Kyra, Arden, and Seren are probably my faves on your list though. FWIW I know a Kyra who has never gotten any pronunciation problems, although Kira is probably my fave spelling of the name.
Shame on you for trashing someone's child's name that is already born. I think Eli is the awesomesauce!

Wow. I don't know where you get your definition of "opinion," but sometimes opinions are negative, and you should have the class to accept them without lashing out at the people who gave you what you asked for.
