Transition from Rock & Play to crib---HELP Please :-)

Can anyone give me any advise on transitioning my LO from the Rock & Play to her crib? I have tried it the past two nights in a row and she is waking up bc she has nothing "cuddiling" her and has more room to move around. I rolled up a towel so it would pretend to "cuddle" her and she still woke up crying. I couldn't have her keep crying bc I live in an apartment and didn't want to wake my neighbors in the middle of the night, so I put her in her Rock & Play. Any advice is greatly appreciated, Thank you!

  • Oh and I forgot to mention that she has been sleeping in her R n P in her room for weeks and it was an easy transition. She also has been playing in her crib for months, so she is familiar with it.

Honestly, for us? We had to just do it and commit. It was a few nights rough sleep, but he figured it out and we haven't looked back.

Same. We just went cold turkey. Granted she still doesn't STTN the majority of the time, but we had to do it.

  • At this point in the game, just put her in the crib cold turkey. Your neighbors are just going to have to deal with it for a few nights. Babies cry.

If you're going to just end up putting her back in the RNP, don't bother with the crib. You're just making her cry for no reason, KWIM? She will get over it, I promise. My kid was in the swaddle of all swaddles and co-slept for 6 months. Three nights of cold turkey in the crib ditching the swaddle and he had forgotten all about it. If you try and hold him tight now like a swaddle, he freaks the eff out.
