Funny timing..*really long*

That engagement thread last week had me all veklempt because I have been waiting on a proposal of my own.

Well I got one last night! Its not a BFP, but its better than nothing!

SO (fi? what do I call him now? lol) and I have been talking about getting married for a long while now. However, my brother got married last August in Hawaii (holy expensive for everyone, but amazing), my sister got married in February, and SOs brother is getting married in October. So, needless to say our families are feeling a little overwhelmed and we did not want to add on to that. We kind of decided to wait so we could have the big wedding SO has always wanted (role reversal anyone?) and not steal the limelight from our siblings, but also not bankrupt our parents.

A few months ago I brought up a courthouse wedding. I kinda just fell-out-of-love with the huge party-wedding idea. I didn't want to deal with my huge extended families, or pay tons of money so they can all get trashed and act like assholes. SO did not sound interested though.

FF to last night, I got off work at 6 (overtime in my 2nd job) and headed home. SO was washing dishes, arms/hands all soaking wet when he hugged me. Then he looks at me with his big green eyes and says "I have a question." I was like la-la-la What do you want? in my totally not really paying attention to you way. And he asked if I would go to the courthouse with him, because he wants me to be his wife.

REALLY?! said I. He said yes, I was happy and suprised. I gave him another hug. Proceeded to do my normal "just got home from work" thing. I didn't realize until 10 minutes later that it was actually a proposal, albeit not one on bended knee with a ring. I had to ask him if he just proposed. Yeah, yeah he did! haha.

Well you all are the first people I'm telling. I feel like I'm in a little bubble of happiness that no one IRL needs to know about. As of August (our anniversary falls on a friday - easy enough not to have to change it after all this time) so then I will get to joing you all in using "DH."

tl;dr: F*ck yes, SO wants me to be his wifey, even if we do it at the courthouse!

       Me: IR-PCOS, elevated DHEAs, low progesterone, weak ovulation  DH: low volume, low T
    SHG 5/10/13: both tubes blocked; HSG 6/28 = Left tube cleared! Right blocked.
    BFP#1 7/20/13 EDD 3/30/14, m/c 8/19/13, D&E 8/21/13, Chromosomal results = normal, female
    Lap & hysteroscopy scheduled for 10/31, right tube cleared, no endo found! ...Happy Halloween!
    Cycle 14: Clomid (50)+ IUI = BFP! EDD 9/16/14~ Rowan Elizabeth born sleeping at 17w4d on 4/12/14 due to IC.
    ~There is no foot too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world~
    New RE June 2014. RPL b/w - negative. SIS looking for uterine/cervical abnormalities & Asherman's 6/10/14 - ALL CLEAR!

    November 2012: Paratubal cyst found during U/S.
    January 10, 2013: Lap removed paratubal cyst and Stage 2 Endometriosis. 
    3 cycles of Femara + TI = BFNs

    June 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 37.5 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFN

    July 2013: Femara 2.5 mg, Gonal F Injects 75 IU, Menopur, trigger + IUI = BFP!!!!

    Beta 1 @ 11 DPIUI = 76. Progesterone = 27.3

    BFP 8/16/2013 // EDD 4/28/2014

    And FWIW - DH and I got married at the courthouse when I was 7 months pregnant because we were walking away from some serious tax benefits if we waited another year (and I didn't want a wedding pregnant - spending all that $$ and I was drinking!)

    We had our fancy wedding with friends and family on our 1 year anniversary.  100 guests, white dress, vows with the pastor and all!  I wouldn't of had it any other way!

    So just because you dont do it now, doesnt mean you cant do it a year from now!

    Nov 2013 IVF/ICSI #1 - Protocol: BCP prep, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (12 days), ganirelex
    Results: 5 retrieved / mature, 4 fertilized, 1 arrested and 3 complex abnormal after day 3 PGS = Cancelled after ER
    Jan/Feb 2014 IVF/ICSI #2 - Protocol: Estrogen priming, high doses Menopur and Bravelle (11 days), microdose lupron
