I had my first coffee in over a year yesterday. A wonderful iced DD around 3:30pm. At 9pm our sweet little baby seemed to be possessed by demons! She was screaming while nursing even though that was all she wanted to do. Miserable no matter what we tried! We finally hot her to sleep at 1am and 45 minutes later she woke up screaming again. I got her to sleep at 3:30am and she slept until 8:30, thank goodness!! She was all smiles when she woke up and seems just fine today. I am never having coffee ever again!!!

Surprise, our 2nd daughter P was born 5/22/14!
I did quite coffee altogether when M was a few months old, though in hindsight, I don't think it really mattered.
I was drinking about 1/3 cup of coffee a day in the morning (diluted with hot milk). I gave it up for about a month or 2? Once M started napping well, I went back to 1/3 cup for another month. Now I drink a full cup in the morning and it doesn't affect M anymore.

Oh no! I had no idea coffee can affect a baby like that! I only drink decaf now, but I wish I could have a cup of regular coffee to boost up my energy in the morning.
I am glad she is back to an angel baby now

My Cherry Blossom baby
Oh no! I'm sorry that didn't work out for you. I'm not much of a coffee drinker, and I can't remember if either of my boys had problems with my tea consumption.
Hope you can get a nap in today, Momma!
Oh no! Thankfully my LO doesn't have a problem with coffee - I have one every morning, and I work nights so I will have one in the afternoon before work 2x a week. Then I pump while I am there. DD doesn't have any issues drinking my pumped milk while I am gone (thank goodness, or DH would kill me and even if he didnt, I would never survive having 3 kids and working nights without my caffeine!).
Maybe you can drink decaf?
