TTC After a Loss

Cellulite after miscarriage!?

I have never had a huge problem with cellulite. I had a little on my thighs before I was pregnant, but after my missed miscarriage in Feb. at 9 weeks I have noticed that the cellulite on my thighs/butt is horrible now! I expect it after a full term pregnancy, but I didn't really gain that much weight while I was pregnant (and it was for very long). Has anyone else experienced this? Did it go away fairly soon?

Re: Cellulite after miscarriage!?

  • I don't know of it was the miscarriage or me getting older (I've gained about 8lbs from the mc that I can't shake) and so after Mother's Day brunch DH and I go shopping for a bathing suit for me to swim laps in. What a horrific experience as the lighting showed EVERYTHING - I felt like I stepped into a new chapter of life wearing a one piece (I know it's just for doing laps, but still). DH was so good to me though saying this was good as my body is getting more "mature" and ready to carry a baby....  I guess my point is don't be too hard on yourself. Our body is being cruel enough...

I've noticed more cellulite too! Its so weird because I barely gained any weight, but my rear looks awful now! I'm hoping a more vigorous workout routine will help get rid of it.

I didn't experience cellulite, but I have experienced some physical changes after both my losses. Some have gone away and some haven't, unfortunately. I hope you can get it figured out!

Same here. I don't know if it was the two losses, the fibroids I had removed last year, or just getting older, but I've also had changes in my body that haven't all gone away.

This happened to me when I went to put on my bathing suit! I got so embarrassed because it just looks like I ate too many cheeseburgers this winter (only a select few of my friends know I had a miscarriage). I think I may be looking into getting a new one piece for this year as well.

Yes I've definitely seen changes and it has been harder to get back to where I was...
