Yeah, I posted it over there. That made me so mad! I thought about not having an epidural but everything changed once labor started. I spent an hour straight sitting on an exercise ball -- with my head buried in the hospital bed -- sobbing my eyes out. I was on pitocin and when the doctor came in and said I was only 2CM, I almost screamed... then he said I could have an epidural. I enjoyed my labor so much more thanks to the epidural and I still felt the need to push AND I am still alive.

OMG. There were so many comments that have me flaming mad.
I agree with the women that said - don't judge until you've been through it. Pre labor I was open to going natural for as long as I could, but under no circumstances did I want nubain b/c I did not want a "dopey" child. Whatever. Laboring at home for 36 hours with maybe 3-4 hours of sleep total during that time put me out of my mind. When I was finally at the hospital - it took me two hours of laboring at 4 cm to decide f*it. I was bawling and desperate for anything that would let me sleep b/c I was totally out of my mind from no sleep and the pain. I took the nubain and the epi and really do not regret it.
Then there are the comments about doctors wanting to get out as quickly as possible. Coming from the wife of a dr. that does OB..that has me beyond pissed.

It's a source of identification so the rest of us can see where you stand in the whole pregnancy process.
