Toy recommendations for 2yo girl

I need some help with ideas for my niece's 2nd birthday.  My SIL told me clothes, books, dishes/utensils (to eat with, not to play kitchen with) and toys to use outside.  TIA!

  • Water/Sand table or dress up clothes!

  • Depends on your budget really. You could get a small picnic table, sand and water table, or even a slide. All those can range from 20 bucks up to much higher. If your willing to spend more that generally opens up your options.
  • Kid utensils are expensive- I should ask for them for LO's next birthday. A plastic slide, Sandra Boynton or Anna Dewdney books, or like PP said, a sand and water table.

ETA: The books Kohls has for $5 right now also look really cute. We have one of them and it's fun to read.

If you're on a budget, my two year old daughter loves sidewalk chalk, bubbles, and small balls that she can kick and throw by herself.

  • Bubble machine. My kids love bubbles.

Cute sand toys. Melissa and Doug has some. Ikea also has some really cute sand toys.

I love replay divided plates. Really durable and made of recycled milk jugs. I got mine at Walmart, but you can get them on amazon. Replay also makes bowls, sippy cups and utensils.

For books, I would go to tj max or Marshall's and pick out some cute board books, Books with flaps, themes that she might like.
  • I second chalk and bubbles. My Lo loves bubbies lol. Also, powerwheels are cute too. We got one for LO when she turned 1.
