irrational fear

Anyone putting off packing your hospital bag because you irrationally fear that once you pack your bag, it might really happen?

I feel like as long as I am not prepared (no hospital bag) the baby wont try to come but I fear that as soon as I get ready, my water will break!  

I know, I know, my husband thinks I am crazy too....

    Haha! I think the opposite happens lol! You pack your bag and the baby is still there at 41 weeks. You'll feel better once its packed!

    I kind of feel the opposite. Once I am finally ready, time will stand still and LO will decide to bake an extra week.

    I packed mine the morning that my water broke.  I wasn't in a huge hurry to be honest.  I think this time around I will have things ready to go just in case!

    Pack your bag! I felt the same way and put it off then tried to pack after my water had broken...I was gushing everywhere trying to figure out what to pack. It was stressful lol.

    Haha, that's funny!  I have one pair of pants and a couple of t-shirts laid next to my bag, and I threw a couple hair ties into it.  I think I am just ignoring/avoiding the inevitable!

    I don't think you're crazy because I think the same way. I haven't washed any bedding or clothing pretty much for this same reason. I'm due at the end of June so I'm waiting till the first week of June to really start the "finishing touches" so to speak!

    I'm sorry, I couldn't help but giggle at this. I can only imagine trying to pack with bits of fluid gushing! So glad all is well with you guys though!
